Jan W. Gilbert is a freelance Director of Photography, Gaffer and Camera Operator currently based just outside of London in Reading, UK.  

Jan began his film journey with videography and photography along side his studies of film and tv. As his love of the arts grew, he aspired for greater heights, working in the industry and climbing the ranks of the camera department, he became a camera operator on his first feature length project The Unexpected Return of Mr Meek. Jan continued to freelance as a camera operator on longer form productions while filling the role of Director of Photography on shorter projects, allowing him to hone his skills in the craft and land his first feature length project as a DP: Until We Meet Again. Now Jan continues to work as a DP, camera operator and gaffer always looking towards improvement in his work and aiming for greater achievements in his career.

With credits spanning feature films, short films, documentaries and commercials, Jan is always looking to bring the next project to life through camera and lighting.
